The Triumph of Faith

Lesson Text: Hebrews 11: 32- 40

“For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is Victory that has overcome the world, even our FAITH.”  --1 John 5: 4

Introducing the Lesson

Life is a battlefield.

There is always a battle between the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness.

The only fight believers are permitted to fight is called ‘the fight of faith’.

The victory has been won by Jesus Christ on the cross, but it takes faith to possess and experience that victory.

Faith means to believe the Word of God and to act on it.

The only way a child of God can experience a life of victory and success, is when he develops a winning Faith.

What is Winning Faith?

A winning Faith is the faith that triumphs.
A winning Faith is a faith that conquers.
A winning Faith sees God as bigger than any problem or circumstance.
A winning faith is the faith that moves mountains.
A winning Faith is a faith that goes through sword and persecution and refuses to compromise.

You cannot develop a winning Faith except you learn to depend totally of God. (Read Jeremiah 17: 5-8)

Without a winning Faith you can never enter into the fullness of God’s blessings.
Without a winning Faith you can never experience divine promotion in life.

Unbelief and doubt is a sin against God.
Prayer without faith is powerless and fruitless.

How to Triumph in Faith

1.       Practice the command of faith. Learn to speak with the authority in the Word of God.  Your words are able to save, heal or deliver you. For you shall eat the fruit of your tongue.
Faith does not accept a situation; it causes change!

2.       Learn to pray the prayer of faith. Learn to activate the promises of God’s word.
You must be persistent in prayer.

Word of wisdom: It takes prayer and determination for you to climb your mountain.

3.       Learn to take a step of faith. Remember the story of the four lepers. Your faith will triumph when you act on the word of God.
4.       Practice seed-faith. I mean, you should learn to sow the right seed that will speak for your miracles.

How to Build a Winning Faith

1.       Learn to Study your bible always. The word of God is the source of Faith (Romans 10:17)

2.       Live of life of praise and thanksgiving unto God. Complaining and murmuring will only destroy your faith.  (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
3.       Live of life of purity. Blessed are the pure in heart. (Matthew 5:8) The blessing of Faith is not for sinners, it is for the saints.
4.       Learn to fast and pray always. It will help you to be strong in the spirit to be able to defeat doubt and unbelief.

Remember, Faith is a seed…it must be develop for it to triumph over the battles of life.

Walking in Godliness

Lesson Text: Isaiah 1:18-19; 1 Tim4:18; Galatians 6:1, 1 Timothy; Colossians 3; Psalm 1

Introducing the Lesson

Let us reason together

When we have a convert (a new believer) we need to learn how to follow up that convert.

Teaching means opening people’s eyes to the truth of the Word of God.

Word of wisdom:

·         Always try to get to your new converts and never push them away.
·         Do not discriminate or be selective in your dealings with people.
·         If you are delighted and obedience in Kingdom Business, you will enjoy the Rewards of the Kingdom.
·         Share your mind with people and let them share their mind with you.

The Power of Godliness

Godliness is living to please God.
Godliness is spiritual exercise.
Godliness is all about walking in the Will and purpose of God.
Godliness provokes a passion/zeal for God and the things of God.
Godliness is about knowing God, Experience God and having God.
The secret of godliness is obedient to the Word of God.

Spiritual exercise makes you to be spiritually healthy.
Spiritual exercise also gives birth to physical health. This means that when we walk in godliness, we will experience divine healing and health.
Nobody is a superman or power ranger; what makes you extraordinary and special is GODLINESS.

Spiritual Enemies of Godliness

1.       The Unclean spirit:  unclean spirit makes you to speak foul and abusive language. Using your tongue to blaspheme, gossip, murmur, or slander makes it unclean…and this is ungodly.

When you walk in godliness, you will have dominion power. Your word cannot carry authority except you walk in godliness with your tongue.

2.       The Spirit of Lust: This enemy gives strength to your flesh (human nature) to grave for sinful desire that will go against the Spirit of God and the Word of God. Lust can lead to sexual immorality, debauchery and other inordinate affections.
When we allow us to take over our heart, we can no longer walk in godliness.
Lust we make us carnal; while godliness will make us spiritual.

3.       The Seducing Spirit:  this is the dominant spirit of the last days. People are looking for what will satisfy them and they have fall prey to lies and deceptions of Satan’s seducing spirit.
Seducing spirit makes someone to persuade and lure others into falling into sin. This is why the Bible warned us about the people will follow. (Read Psalm 1)
·         It tells us that it does not matter.
·         It takes the Word of God out of context for personal interest to fulfill selfish desire.
·         It makes you to believe a lie.
·         It set a stone that cause a fellow to stumble.

Word of Wisdom:

·         If the love of God is your ultimate motivation, you will not fall prey of seduction.
·         If you want to walk in godliness, you must consider the interest and well being of other people.

4.       Spirit of Addiction: To be addicted is simply being bound or stuck to something.
Every addiction is rooted in idolatry.
When we are addicted to what brings profit to ourselves and not to the Kingdom of God, then we practicing idol worship. The only approved addiction is to be addicted to godliness.
As long as you struggle with one form of addiction (e.g. football, games, fashion, worldly music, worldly TV programs, drugs, drinking, food or partying) you will struggle to walk in godliness.
There is a way that seems right…but it will lead to destruction. Addiction will lead to the anger of God.  Addiction takes away the place of God in our heart. This is dangerous!!!

5.       Spirit of Compromise: I have being a victim of this spiritual enemy. This spirit will make us live a life of hypocrisy and lose our integrity and stand with God. This spirit will put you under pressure to displease God and practice unrighteousness. Compromise means to give up the Standard of God (in the Word of God) to please someone or people. This is very painful to God and can make one be cast away from God. It is better to seek the praise of God and be hated by the Word. If you compromise the Word of God in your practice and teaching, you cannot walk in godliness.

6.       Spirit of Pride: This is your number one enemy. Since the fall of man and sin came into man, pride has been the main struggle of every one of us. Success, power, fame and beauty are lead many into the pit of pride and many great lives have been buried in hell.
Proud people are spiritually paralyzed. Pride goes before destruction. Pride makes us to be arrogant and haughty. Pride leads to stubbornness and rebellion. Pride is rooted in witchcraft.
Humility is a cloth of protection. Submitting to authority is a killer of pride and it will save us from many setbacks.

To walk in godliness we must wage war against these enemies and prevail by the Power of the Holy Spirit.

Through the Grace of God…we will walk in godliness…and live a life that pleases God.

Overcoming the Deception of Last Days

Overcoming the Deception of Last Days

Lesson Text: Matthew 24: 4, 5, 11, 24; 1 John 2:18, 1 John 4:1; Jeremiah 14:14; 2 Timothy 3: 2-5

Assignment: Study the Book of Deuteronomy chapter 3 and 3 John

What does the ‘Last days’ means?

The ‘last days’ are the period of time where the prophetic happenings and events predicted by Jesus Christ and His Apostles begin to take place.

No long sermon. Even a new born baby knows that we are living in the last days—the perilous times!!!

What is deception?
In biblical meaning: “it is a lie from the devil”.

Heresy means ‘false teaching or doctrine that is against God’s Word.

Anything that goes contrary to what is written in the Bible—the Word of God, can called deception.

There are many lies, fantasies, myths, philosophies and ideas that have gone out in these last days.
The god of this world and the father of lies, Satan, has seduced and led many astray, and painfully, including believers and the elects of God.

The Spirits of the Last Days:

v  Religious spirit
v  Seducing spirit
v  Mammon spirit
v  Lying spirit
v  Sexual immoral spirits

Word of Wisdom:

·         If you want to overcome these last days deception, you must never claim to be what you are not.

Pride has destroyed a lot of lives.
Pride is a doorway to deception.

·         Never envies someone else’s calling, ministry or anointing

·         Beware of the praise of Men.

·         Never be in a hurry. (I have had to learn this lesson the hard way.)
Anybody that is in a hurry to do the work of God without first listening to the direction of the Holy Spirit will likely fall into the pit of deception.
I day this to you: if you want to overcome these last days deception, you must stay in the school of patience.

·         Never be carried away by just speaking in tongues, prophesy, dreams and vision.
Your life and ministry must be built on the Word of God.  Everything else is secondary and a back up.

·         Anybody or ministry that does not point or give glory to Jesus Christ is not of God.

·         Anybody or ministry that says Jesus is not Lord, is not of God.

·         Any ministry that speaks only about money making and career success and never lay emphasis on Jesus Christ and the Word of God is operating in deception.

·         Any person that says Jesus did not come in the flesh is an Anti-Christ.

How to overcome the deception of Satan:

1.       Always test every spirit with the Word of God.
2.       Be careful with who lay hands on you to pray for you.
3.       Seek and develop the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
4.       Avoid evil association.
5.       Seek and cultivate the gift of discerning of spirits.

You are victorious.
